Livin’ Loud with the Cruze

Tons of bagged rides pulled into SEMA this year and the 2011 Kicker Audio Chevy Cruze LTZ was one of them.  Traditionally known for a sound that makes your heart skip a beat, Kicker raised the bar by bagging this one of a kind ride.
As is usual with most SEMA projects everything came down to the wire for this build.  This Chevy Cruze is among the first ones to get the Air Lift treatment and as such there were a lot of things to think about and plan for in advance.
In order to make sure you’d hear this ride long before you’d see it; sound quality is what the crew at Kicker focused on primarily.  Modified door panels with Kicker QS Component Speakers were installed along with six 10″ Kicker Solo Classic subwoofers and IX-Series amplifiers make sure this Cruze stays bumping and grinding all night long.
An interior overhaul was necessary to bring the exterior theme all together.  Gloss black painted accents (including the Autopilot Digital controller) and a blue suede wrapped dash, seats and door panels by Distinct Customs make this ride impress both inside and out.
Since this ride is a fresh creation from Chevy, an out of the box solution wasn’t available.  An Air Lift universal bellow over strut was put in place for the front and a pair of Air Lift D2500 air springs on custom-made cups went out back to replace the rear coil springs.  A single ViAir 480c compressor feeds a 3 gallon pancake tank in the spare-tire well to finish off the air suspension setup.
Check out Kicker’s website for details on the sound system and for the latest in their product lineup.
